NEW YORK, August 9—Touchstone will publish a collection of humorous, autobiographical essays by actress Busy Philipps.  The yet-to-be-titled book will be published in fall 2018. An audio edition will be released simultaneously by Simon & Schuster Audio.

Busy Philipps’s autobiographical book will offer the same unfiltered and candid storytelling that her Instagram followers have come to know and love, dealing with everything, from growing up in Scottsdale, Arizona and her painful and painfully funny teen years, to her life as a working actress, mother, and famous best friend.

“I’ve been waiting my whole life to write this book. I’m just so grateful someone asked,” says Philipps. “Otherwise, what was the point of any of it??”

Philipps first garnered Hollywood attention as Kim Kelly in the critically-acclaimed series “Freaks and Geeks.” She later co-starred in the teen drama “Dawson’s Creek,” and then went on to star in numerous television series, including “Cougar Town,” for which she won a Critics’ Choice Television Award for her breakthrough role as Laurie Keller, “ER,” and most recently HBO’s “Vice Principals.”  She has appeared in fan-favorite films such as “Made of Honor,” “I Don’t Know How She Does It,” “He’s Just Not That Into You,” “White Chicks,” and “The Gift.”   She also was one of the writers of the hit film “Blades of Glory.”
