Iconic Radio Personality Elvis Duran to Publish Inspirational Memoir with Atria Books
NEW YORK, March 6, 2019—Elvis Duran, host of the nationally syndicated radio program, Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, will publish his memoir with Atria Books titled Where Do I Begin?: Stories from a Life Lived Out Loud. To be published in fall 2019, Where Do I Begin? will share Elvis’s wildest stories and hardest-learned lessons—on and off air—with his trademark heart, honesty, and humor.
Elvis spent his early years as essentially a radio DJ for hire working in several markets around the country before taking over the morning shift at the legendary Z100. Over the last 20 years, he has become one of New York City’s signature voices (Variety calls him “a permanent fixture of the area’s daily commutes”) thanks to his iHeart show’s mix of music, new artist discovery, interviews, gossip, and live listener interaction.
Along the way, Elvis has become well-known not just for his incisive interviews with pop music’s biggest stars, but for the show’s commitment to kindness, positivity, Elvis’s own candor, and openness with his audience.
Now, Elvis is ready to tell the story of his unbelievable journey to the top of the radio charts, revealing never-before-shared moments as well as the triumphs and setbacks that have shaped his life and career, and reflections on the lessons he has learned along the way.“All I really want, at the end of the day, is for people to look back on their own lives and recognize a moment they spent with me and my radio family as one of those moments that mattered,” says Elvis Duran. “Not because of anything especially insightful we said. But because we were there for them.”
“Bold, funny, and totally candid, Where Do I Begin? is sure to be loved by anyone who listens to Elvis every morning” said Atria Books Executive Editor, Matthew Benjamin. “These are the stories Elvis wants to share with those he really cares about—his radio family.”
