Gallery Books to Publish Debbie Gibson Memoir Eternally Electric

NEW YORK, February 4, 2025—Debbie Gibson, a powerhouse of pop music and entertainment, will publish her memoir ETERNALLY ELECTRIC with Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster. The book is scheduled to be released on September 9, 2025.

Gibson first captivated audiences with her Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Foolish Beat,” marking her as the youngest female artist to write, produce, and perform a number one hit—a record she still holds today. With more than 16 million albums sold, hit singles spanning decades, and a celebrated theatrical career, Gibson continues to inspire as an artist and storyteller. In her memoir, she offers a heartfelt and honest portrayal of her life in the spotlight, sharing the highs and lows of her journey with her signature down-to-earth candor. Through lessons learned across decades in the music industry, she inspires readers to embrace their authentic selves and strive to live their best lives.

About publishing her memoir Gibson said, “Writing my memoir during this profound second act is a way to celebrate the connection I have to my longtime audience and how we all can pull from our past challenges and lessons to be at our most vital and vibrant and stay eternally electric.”

Vice President, Executive Editor Natasha Simons acquired US, Canada, and Open Market rights from Yfat Reiss Gendell at YRG Partners. Simon & Schuster Audio will simultaneously publish the audiobook which will be narrated by the author.

Debbie Gibson is an award-winning singer-songwriter and Broadway actress who has amassed over sixteen million album sales worldwide and eleven US Top 40 singles. Now releasing new music through her own Stargirl Records label, she has also starred in several independent and TV movies, some of which she’s created and executive produced. A philanthropist involved in numerous charitable endeavors, Debbie wrote this memoir while touring to celebrate the thirty-fifth anniversary of her multi-platinum Electric Youth album and “Lost in Your Eyes” single simultaneously hitting #1 on the Billboard charts.
