Additional Space Anticipates Growth in Distribution Client Business and Supplements Existing Facility in Riverside, New Jersey 

NEW YORK and MILAN, TENNESSEE, October 4—Simon & Schuster announced today that, as part of its fast-growing distribution client business, it will open a new warehouse facility in Milan, Tennessee.  The formal opening of the 300,000 square-foot facility will be on January 2, 2019.

The move for additional warehousing capacity comes just two years after the successful 2016 expansion of Simon & Schuster’s Riverside Distribution Facility in Delran, New Jersey.

Opening the new facility is a further reflection of the company’s strategic commitment to growth through distribution and its confidence in providing world-class distribution services to an ever-expanding list of well-known independent publishing companies.

As part of the expansion, Chris Wagner has joined Simon & Schuster as Vice President, General Manager Warehouse Operations, reporting to Dave Schaeffer, Vice President, Distribution and Fulfillment.   Wagner was formerly Vice President of Distribution and General Manager of Operations at the Perseus distribution facilities in Jackson, Tennessee.
