ProQuest Debuts Simon & Schuster Titles to Academic Library Market

Renowned titles available for the first time via the MyiLibrary platform

ProQuestMountainview, California, 30 March 2016—Key titles from renowned publisher Simon & Schuster are now available for the first time to the academic library market as ebooks through ProQuest’s MyiLibrary® platform. More than 1,200 titles in subject areas such as business, psychology, history, social sciences, political sciences and literature will provide libraries with more options to serve students, faculty, and researchers.

Founded by Richard L. Simon and M. Lincoln Schuster in 1924, the publishing house has long been an industry leader in general interest publishing.

Now, it will offer a wide range of acclaimed and award-winning titles and authors through ProQuest’s MyiLibrary platform, including:

  • Rick Perlstein’s Nixonland and The Invisible Bridge,
  • John Carey’s William Golding: The Man Who Wrote Lord of the Flies,
  • Richard Dawkins’ The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution,
  • Taylor Branch’s America in the King Years trilogy (comprised of Parting the Waters: America in the King Years 1954-63, Pillar of Fire: America in the King Years 1963-65 and At Canaan’s Edge: America in the King Years 1965-68)
  • Robert D. Putnam’s Bowling Alone and Our Kids

Works from Don DeLillo, Sam Harris, Walter Isaacson, Charles Johnson, Thomas Kenneally, Naomi Klein, David McCullough, Siddhartha Mukherjee, Michael E. Porter, Annie Proulx,  and Colm Tóibín, will also be available.

Additionally, Simon & Schuster is offering key classic academic and literary works to MyiLibrary customers, including Stephen Mitchell’s translations of Homer’s The Iliad and The Odyssey, and works by, Ray Bradbury, Émile Durkheim, Joseph Heller, John Knowles, B. F. Skinner, Max Weber and William Butler Yeats, among others. Titles will also be available from Simon & Schuster’s prestigious Folger Shakespeare Library, Hemingway Library, and F. Scott Fitzgerald Library.
