Tara Parsons Joins Touchstone As Editor-In-Chief

NEW YORK, December 15, 2015 – Tara Parsons is joining Touchstone as Editor-in-Chief, beginning on January 4. News of the appointment was announced today by Susan Moldow, Publisher of Touchstone and President of the Scribner Publishing Group to whom Tara Parsons will report. In her new position, Ms. Parsons will direct Touchstone’s acquisition of fiction and non-fiction books as well as acquire and edit her own titles.

Tara Parsons comes to Touchstone from Amazon Publishing, where she has served as Editorial Director, Fiction. While there, Ms. Parsons launched new business initiatives for the publishing division’s fiction imprints while acquiring and editing international bestselling authors such as Catherine Ryan Hyde and Helen Bryan. Prior to Amazon Publishing, she held various editorial positions at the Harlequin imprints MIRA Books and HQN Books where she oversaw the publication of New York Times bestsellers such as Mary Kubica’s The Good Girl, Robyn Carr’s Four Friends, and Susan Mallery’s Evening Stars. Ms. Parsons began her publishing career at Simon & Schuster as an editorial assistant in 1999.
